IEMPACT, the Annual Cultural Fest of IEM, is back with its 32nd edition after two years of online versions of education and events. This year, we hope to celebrate IEMPACT on the theme - Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. At the Annual Cultural Fest of IEM, Salt Lake, we will bring to you a variety of events and competitions like Eastern and Western Dance, Eastern and Western Music, Quizzard, Debate, Creative Writing, Beatboxing, Futsal (football), Treasure Hunt, Face Painting, Bhuri Bhoj (a food festival) and most importantly hope and joy. We wish to see dazzling smiles on the faces of all the participants and audience members at our event. We know, "Hope is the one thing that can help us get through the darkest of times". This might be the truest thing we have heard, especially as we underwent one of the darkest times in the history of mankind recently - the Covid-19 pandemic. We prayed desperately for a cure so that our near and dear ones would stay safe and ran around for oxygen only out of a hope of seeing a new dawn. We have hoped and continue to hope for a better day. Hence, we bring IEMPACT 2023 with the wish that it might bring some joy and hope in our lives because again, "Hope is the New Normal".
TRAP is a band based in Bengal, they tend to do songs of every genre (languages: English, Hindi and Bengali). They specialize in their unique musical sense and the violin present in their band. They are now recognized as an international group, very popular among students and have performed more than 200 shows in all over India and abroad.
Line up: The five-piece band comprises Arijit Paul (vocals), Anupam Pyne (keyboard/vocals), Swapnabha Roy (bass guitar), Suanjito Dutta (drums and percussion), and Bhaswar Sen, who, in addition to playing the viola and violin, is in charge of arrangements and composition.
Treasure hunt is a fun event filled with clues and tasks, and a lot of running to solve it first. If you make clues too easy, participants will get bored easily. Make the clues too hard and they'll get exasperated and give up. You want the Goldilocks of treasure hunts – make the clues just right! Know your audience. How cool is it to step it up a notch and make them find !!
